The Kentucky Horse Park is now in its winter season—a peaceful time of rest and relaxation for our horses. As they enjoy quiet days in their paddocks, they also look forward to meeting guests during Stall-Side Chats (weather permitting). Continue your visit by exploring equine history at the International Museum of the Horse and the American Saddlebred Museum.

International Museum of the Horse

Explore the largest and most comprehensive museum in the world dedicated to the important history of horses and their impact on human civilization.

Horseback Riding

Horseback Trail Rides & Pony Rides

Get in the saddle and explore the park’s paddocks on a 35-minute trail ride. Pony rides are also available for the youngest riders.

Kentucky Horse Park Gift Shop

Whether you want to remember your trip to the Kentucky Horse Park or are looking for the perfect equine gift for a friend, the KHP gift shop has it all. Browse our selection of books, apparel, toys, jewelry, art, and other souvenirs celebrating the horse. Iron Works Café is closed during the winter season but grab-and-go food items can be purchased at the Park’s Gift Shop. A limited selection of Kentucky Horse Park branded merchandise is now available in our online store!


Park Statues & Memorials

You can find equine sculptures from artists around the globe throughout the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park. Pick up your Equine Sculpture Walk guide at the Visitor Center or International Museum of the Horse.

We’re Pet Friendly!

Domestic pets are welcome to accompany their owners on park grounds, either on a leash or confined to an approved kennel, providing that the owners clean up after their pets. Sorry, pets are not permitted in the museum exhibits area (lobbies are okay), Iron Works Café (covered patio is okay), and the Alltech Arena. Please DO NOT leave pets in cars unattended for any reason.
