The Defender Kentucky 3-Day Event takes over the Kentucky Horse Park from Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28. If you plan to visit KHP during these dates you must purchase admission to the event.

All ticket sales are transacted during Defender event and will take place at general admission ticket locations. No tickets will be sold at the KHP Visitor Center.

International Museum of the Horse

Horseback Riding

Horseback Trail Rides & Pony Rides

Get in the saddle and explore the park’s paddocks on a 35-minute trail ride. Pony rides are also available for the youngest riders.

Browse our selection of books, apparel, toys, jewelry, art, and other souvenirs celebrating the horse. Iron Works Cafรฉ is closed during the winter season but grab-and-go food items can be purchased at the Park’s Gift Shop.

You can find equine sculptures from artists around the globe throughout the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park. Pick up your Equine Sculpture Walk guide at the Visitor Center or International Museum of the Horse.

The perfect gift for anyone or any occasion, Kentucky Gift Cards can be used just like credit cards at the Kentucky Horse Park and Campground, Kentucky State Resort Parks, Kentucky Artisan Center, and the Kentucky Historical Societyโ€™s 1792 Store. We’re Pet Friendly!

Domestic pets are welcome to accompany their owners on park grounds, either on a leash or confined to an approved kennel, providing that the owners clean up after their pets. Sorry, pets are not permitted in the museum exhibits area (lobbies are okay), Iron Works Cafรฉ (covered patio is okay), and the Alltech Arena. Please DO NOT leave pets in cars unattended for any reason.
