Hall of Champions
Hall of Champions Show: 10:30 am & 1:15 pm
The excitement of the racetrack is brought to life when you meet the day’s featured Hall of Champions residents.
Hall of Champions Nightcap: 3:30 pm
Find your way to the Hall of Champions Barn for the final presentation of the day featuring 2016 trotting triple crown champion, Marion Marauder! Meet us next to his paddock fence in front of the barn.
Breeds Barn
Parade of Breeds shows: 11:00 am & 2:00 pm
4-6 breed representatives perform in hand and under saddle in colorful attire that evokes the culture, time period, and customs of their native land. Stick around after the show to get close to today’s featured horses.
*Each show features different horses.
Big Barn & Trolley Tour
Horse-Drawn Trolley Tour: 10:00 am & 2:45 pm
Hop on the trolley for a scenic tour of the Kentucky Horse Park! Pulled by two of our draft horses.
Draft Horse Presentation: 11:45 am
Stop by the Big Barn to learn more about the draft horses you see pulling the Trolley. Stick around after the presentation to meet the horse of the hour!
Mounted Police Barn
Stop by the Mounted Police Barn anytime during your visit! Our officers are happy to introduce you to their equine partners if they are not on patrol.
You can also meet the 2024 KHP Horse of the Year, Oliver!
Kids Barn
The newly renovated Kidsโ Barn is an interactive facility with hands-on educational activities that are guaranteed to capture every guestโs attention. Both children and adults can learn about the basics of horses, how to care for them, and more! Kids can stop by the Big Barn to jump their own course of fences on foot located in the grassy area right outside.

International Museum of the Horse
The Kentucky Horse Park’s International Museum of the Horse is dedicated to the history of the horses and its unique relationship with humans through time. With over 60,000 square feet to explore, the museum offers something for all ages to enjoy.
American Saddlebred Museum
Visit the American Saddlebred Museum, where the beauty of the American Saddlebred is on full display. The newly renovated Museum offers an exciting and educational experience for visitors of all ages and is included in your KHP admission.
The International Museum of the Horse is currently undergoing renovations. While the museum remains open to the public, please note that certain exhibits may be temporarily closed during this period. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to create an even more captivating museum for all to enjoy.
Horseback & Pony Rides
Horseback trail rides and pony rides can be reserved at the Visitor Center on the day of your visit. Book early as these are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Horseback Rides: $30 per rider
Pony Rides: $6 per rider
Kentucky Horse Park Gift Shop
Open the same hours as the Kentucky Horse Park; the gift shop is located inside the parkโs Visitor Center. Patrons may visit the KHP Gift Shop without purchasing admission or parking.
Iron Works Cafรฉ
Located next to the Visitor Center, amenities include indoor and outdoor dining, restrooms, and free Wi-Fi. Iron Works Cafรฉ is open 10 am – 3 pm.
Know Before You Go!
Will there be a lot of walking?
The main tourist area of the park is situated just off the main parking lot and all of the visitor attractions are within walking distance of each other. While there are some hilly inclines, and turf terrain off of the sidewalk paths, there are no steps.
Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
You will purchase your tickets upon your arrival to the Park inside the Visitor Information Center. Your daily admission covers all of the shows throughout the day as well as next-day admission free!
Do you provide wheelchairs?
Yes! We have plenty of traditional wheelchairs available to guests at no charge.
Is there a fee for parking?
Thanks to our sponsor, Dechra Equine, parking is free for those touring the Park and many events!
Can I bring my dog?
Domestic pets are welcome to accompany their owners on park grounds, either on a leash or confined to an approved kennel, providing the owners clean up after their pets. Sorry, pets are not permitted in the museum exhibits area (lobbies are okay), Iron Works Cafรฉ (covered patio is okay), and the Alltech Arena. Please DO NOT leave pets in cars unattended for any reason.
KHP Campground
The Park boasts a 260-site campground offering a pool, tennis courts, playgrounds to it’s guests.
