May Day Maddness Exhibit Now Open At The International Museum Of The Horse

The Madden party was the place to be seen on the eve of the Kentucky Derby. It was a tradition that lasted for more than two decades. Everyone knew about the parties, but most weren’t aware that the proceeds were used to help underprivileged youth.

Experience a bit of the glitz and glamour of a Madden Derby Eve Party through a curated selection of dresses worn by host Anita Madden. The May Day Maddness exhibit, open now-November 27 at the International Museum of the Horse, was guest curated by Heather Whitman of the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center, Ashland, Kentucky. The objects on display are on loan from Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Madden. This exhibit and other exhibits are made possible by generous donations to the KHP Foundation.
