A treasure to our state and a facility unlike any other in the world, since 1978 the Kentucky Horse Park’s mission has been to celebrate our relationship with the horse through education, exhibition, engagement and competition. Owned and operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, each year we welcome over 500,000 visitors from around the world.

Admission can be purchased at the Visitor Center the day of your visit. Admission includes the next day free with the exception of major events and holidays. Open Wednesday-Sunday, 9am-5pm. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays. *Pricing subject to change.

Winter at the Park

The winter season begins November 3 at the Kentucky Horse Park. This is a time of rest and relaxation for our horses. They spend most of their time turned out to their paddocks but take turns visiting Park guests during Stall-Side Chats. Guests can also visit the International Museum of the Horse the American Saddlebred Museum. Find park hours, admission, and the winter daily schedule at the link below!

Visit Safely

Effective July 29th, visitors 6 years and older (regardless of vaccination status) will be required to wear face coverings while inside Executive Branch buildings/offices which includes the Kentucky Horse Park Visitor Center, International Museum of the Horse, and Campground Store.

We’re Pet Friendly 

Domestic pets are welcome to accompany their owners on park grounds, either on a leash or confined to an approved kennel, providing that the owners clean up after their pets. Pets are not welcome in the museum exhibits area (lobbies are okay), the Iron Works Café (covered patio is okay), and the Alltech Arena. Please DO NOT leave pets in cars unattended for any reason.
