The International Museum of the Horse is currently undergoing renovations. While the museum remains open to the public, please note that certain exhibits may be temporarily closed during this period. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to create an even more captivating museum for all to enjoy.

Campground FAQs
Is the campground open year round?
Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.
Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?
Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Do you allow dogs?
The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made on ReserveAmerica.com. If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. All guests are required to check in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

๐ ๏ธ Due to the construction, all strollers and wagons will need to be parked outside the entrance to allow more room for guests inside the museum. You can find the entrance to the Museum on the right side of the building at the Al-Marah Arabian Horse Galleries.
โจ The Museum will be open for BreyerFest attendees from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Come explore and enjoy the rich history and beauty of the horse world!

We heard that yesterday marked a historic day in the world of college sports as the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas officially joined the Southeastern Conference! ๐๐ฅณ
But did you know that back in the spring, the iconic Sooner Schooner from Oklahoma made a special stop right here at the Kentucky Horse Park? ๐ The beautiful white ponies, Boomer and Sooner, enjoyed an overnight stay in our Big Barn while visiting the University of Kentucky. ๐ซ๐
The Schooner, which is maintained by the spirited RUF/NEKS and RUF/NEK Lilโ Sis organizations, added a touch of tradition and excitement to our park. ๐๐ซ It was an absolute delight to host them and give them a tour of our facilities. Check out these amazing photos of the Sooner Schooner crew`s visit to KHP! ๐ท
