The Kentucky Horse Park held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, July 31 at noon to celebrate the renovation of the Park’s signature theaters.
The two theaters, dubbed Ovation and Mane, are located in the Visitor Center and serve a variety of uses, from special movie screenings to lectures and the renovation will ultimately allow the Park an opportunity for additional revenue as rental space. Both theaters feature new paint, carpet, and state-of-the-art sound systems. The Ovation Theater features new seating with fold-away desks, allowing the space to be utilized specifically for lecture events for up to 112 people and an elevated platform for handicap access. The Mane Theater benefits from reupholstered bench seating for up to 150 people and is used primarily for screening equestrian films and videos, as well as the Park’s new visitor “Explore & Discover” video with animated map, and the signature film “Reign of Nobility” both produced by Wrigley Media Group
“The Kentucky Horse Park holds a special place in the heart of Wrigley Media Group,” said Misdee Wrigley Miller, Owner and President. “We’ve been involved in numerous events at the Park and produced countless videos and live stream shows. I, personally, have served on the KHP Foundation Board and have many fond memories of competing at the Park over the years. When the opportunity arose to help enhance the Visitor Center experience with updated theaters and a new corporate event space, we were thrilled to get involved. We hope that the 500 thousand plus visitors who frequent the Horse Park each year enjoy the new Wrigley Media Group Theaters as much as we love being part of the KHP family!”
