Join us for an exciting EquineEd event on June 7th featuring Michaela Keener, PhD and Elisabeth Ohrnberger, PhD-C, ATC, CSCS!
Learn about the University of Kentucky’s Equestrian Athlete Initiative, whose mission is to optimize the health, wellness, and performance of equestrians across their lifespan through research and community engagement. We’ll share our work building an equestrian athlete database and offering equestrian-specific performance testing. Additionally, we’ll discuss our research efforts in investigating chronic pain in equestrians, including the prevalence, relationship to physical activity and barn work, and impact on quality of life. At the end of our session, the floor will be open for discussion to better understand the experiences and needs of the equestrian community as we shape our future endeavors.
