Welcome back to the Kentucky Horse Park!

We are excited to welcome you back to the Kentucky Horse Park! Our staff, and horses, have missed you! It is our top priority to make sure you and your family have a safe and enjoyable experience. 

 

As you make plans to visit the Park, you will notice a few changes. The Kentucky Horse Park is currently open Wednesday - Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm. Admission can be purchased at the Visitor Center at a discounted rate. (Online ticket sales are temporarily suspended.) For your safety Horse-Drawn Trolley Tours, Access to Barns, and Playground remains closed. See below for the daily park schedule of equine demonstrations.

As of July 10, masks are required indoors and in outdoor areas where at least 6ft cannot be obtained. For the latest information on Kentucky's state guidelines visit https://govstatus.egov.com/kycovid19.

 

 


Visiting After November 1?

The Park will be closed Monday & Tuesday, November 2 & 3.

We will begin a Winter Season schedule starting November 4, 2020 through March 30, 2021.

OPEN: Wednesday-Sunday 9am-5pm

CLOSED: Monday & Tuesday

Senior     $10      ages 62+   
Military     $6      with ID   

Children 5 and under, Free

As always, your admission includes the next day FREE with receipt! 

Parking is $5 daily upon entering the park.

Breeds Barn: 10:00 am & 1:00 pm 

We’ll introduce you to some of the horses that call the Breeds Barn home during this demonstration! 

 

Hall of Champions: 10:45 am & 3:00 pm

Meet the Park’s resident Champions! Visit at 3:00 pm to meet the oldest living Kentucky Derby winner, Go For Gin, and 2003 Kentucky Derby Winner, Funny Cide!

 

Big Barn: 11:15 am & 2:00 pm

Visit with the largest horses of the Park in the largest barn of the Park! Guests are welcome to walk through the Big Barn.

 


International Museum of the Horse

The International Museum of the Horse is now open! Entrance to the museum is included with your Park admission. The museum is closed for cleaning from 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm.

Horseback Trail & Pony Rides

($) Spaces Limited, Reservations Only

Explore the park's beautiful countryside on horseback. Horseback and pony rides are available April through October.

Wednesday-Sunday: Reserve your ride at Visitor Center on the day of your visit. 

Reservations must be purchased by 2:45 pm.

Monday-Tuesday: No walk-ups day of. Reserve your ride at the Visitor Center Wednesday-Sunday. 

Load Times: 11:00 AM, 12:15 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:45 PM, 4:00 PM

Film: Rein of Nobility

Wrigley Media Theaters, Ovation Theater, Visitor Center

Narrated by venerable horseman, film and TV star William Shatner, this majestic film explores the world of the horse and is shown in the Visitor Center's Ovation Theater.
