Bluegrass Festival Horse Show

Event Description: 

The Bluegrass Festival Horse Show is a 6-day hunter/jumper show, and is a part of the Kentucky Horse Show 2016 series. This event draws local riders, international riders and even former Olympians. This is also a World Champion Hunter Rider Event and features premier rate hunters and a variety of classics and special classes.

The 6th Annual Carriage Association of America Carriage Festival

Dates: 
Friday, July 1, 2016 - 9:00am to Sunday, July 3, 2016 - 11:00am
Event Description: 

The Carriage Association of America Carriage Festival is a 2-day driving event including a show, educational seminars, driving-at-will, and social activities. The show is a USEF-approved local competition. This is a Pleasure Driving Competition where antique or replica carriages are driven in multiple classes with championship awards at the end of the show. Drivers are competing in classes that test different aspects of the turnout. 

The show takes place in the Alltech Arena on Friday day time (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Saturday day and evening (9 a.m.-9 p.m.). Sunday morning, there will be a drive through the park, on to Walnut Hall Farm, through the campground and back to the stables. This is the Presentation Pleasure drive where all entries leave the show stables at 9:00 a.m. and go on a parade around the Kentucky Horse Park and some of the private farms who open their gates and roads during this competition. The show is scheduled to end at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Region XIV and Silverama Championship Horse Show

Event Description: 

The Silverama Region 14 Arabian Championship is a 5-day Arabian horse show event comprised of a youth show and the championship for the 14th Region of the Arabian Horse Show Association. The 14th region includes Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. The best Arabian horses in the region will be competing in a wide variety of classes, encompassing almost every discipline.

This is the 22nd year that they are presenting The Bill & Betty Zekan Memorial Youth Show, which is scheduled for Wednesday June, 29 at 8:00 a.m. in the Youth Ring with a full slate of youth classes. This show also includes Open Qualifying Classes, Region XIV Championships, and A.H.A Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes.

Lexington Rodeo

The Lexington Rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) and produced by the Rotary Club of Lexington. It is the only PRCA rodeo in Kentucky and was voted the Best New Rodeo Of 2015 by the PRCA cowboys GLC. The shows start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night. Midsouth Pony Club Horse Trials

The MidSouth Pony Club Rally and the MidSouth Horse Trials are Eventing competitions conducted by the MidSouth Pony Club organization. The Pony Club Rally is a regional Eventing competition and serves as the qualifier for the US Pony Club National Competition. A few hundred competitors are expected and they will compete in Dressage, Cross Country, and Show Jumping.
