The International Museum of the Horse is currently undergoing renovations. While the museum remains open to the public, please note that certain exhibits may be temporarily closed during this period. Campground FAQs
Is the campground open year round?
Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.
Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?
Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Do you allow dogs?
The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made on ReserveAmerica.com. If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. All guests are required to check in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

She will be speaking about Bonne Chance`s international Thoroughbred operations with focus on their Kentucky based boutique operation and the benefits and challenges of running a boutique Thoroughbred breeding and racing operation. Importance of aftercare in the Thoroughbred industry and how Bonne Chance`s involvement in other equine sports has inspired them to become industry leaders in Thoroughbred aftercare.

When he`s off-duty, you`ll find him enjoying a well-deserved nap (because even heroes need their beauty rest!). ๐ด โญ And when he`s not patrolling the park, he`s giving himself a Kentucky Mud Bath โ because why not, right? ๐๐ด โญ
๐๏ธ Remember, you donโt need park admission to shop at the Gift Shop, so come grab your own Legend Breyer model and take a piece of KHP home with you!

The exhibit, Uma no Kokoro, which means "Heart of the Horse," is an immersive, educational overview that explores horsesโ spiritual and cultural role in Japan, their use on the battlefield and the robust world of Japanese racing and horsemanship.
Kentucky Horse Park guests can experience the exhibit now through January 2026 inside the International Museum of the Horse.
