The atmosphere at the Kentucky Horse Park was electric on Friday night as fans came out to watch the $35,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic CSI3* as part of the Kentucky Spring Classic Horse Show. Sixty-four riders competed their horses for a chance to not only win the 1.45m class, but also earn valuable points towards winning the Hagyard Challenge Series. Eugenio Garza, of Mexico, was victorious aboard Armani SL Z even though Roberto Teran of Columbia and Il Rubacuori held a seemly unbeatable lead until the very end. Santiago Lambre and Dingeman finished in a close third place.

The Kentucky Spring Classic kicked off its international competition at the Kentucky Horse Park with the $35,000 Welcome Speed Stake CSI3*. The class tested 46 athletes over a single round speed course designed by Bernardo Costa Cabral of Portugal. Ireland's Richie Moloney came out on top with his longtime partner Slieveanorra after producing a clear round in a time of 61.88 seconds.

California's Eve Jobs put in two near flawless rounds to best a field of 66 horses and riders to capture the victory in the $35,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic CSI3* with a time of 34.71 seconds. The 18-year-old athlete and her talented mount Charleville sped past riders that were her senior not only in age but also in experience as she bested the 15-horse jump-off with a blazing time. Sharn Wordley of New Zealand and Rye Val De Mai were hot on Jobs' heels finishing a close second in a time of 34.85 seconds.

Speed was the name of the game Wednesday afternoon as the Kentucky Spring Classic kicked off with the $35,000 Welcome Speed CSI3* in the Rolex Stadium with Todd Minikus (USA) and Quality Girl, owned by the Quality Group, racing around the speed course in a time of 65.530 seconds to take the top prize.
Thirty-six horse and rider combinations vied for the winning prize money in Wednesday's highlight event, but only 10 were able to produce a faultless effort throughout the Olaf Petersen-designed course.

There was a fun-filled atmosphere at the CP National Horse Show on Friday night as athletes and residents alike got in the Halloween spirit. Local groups were invited out for "Barn Night" to watch the $35,000 Accumulator Costume Class, sponsored by Salamander Hotels & Resorts. Eight riders had a perfect score over the track and jumped the high point "joker" fence without error, but it was Ireland's Richie Moloney dressed as Popeye on Alsvid that was two seconds faster to win the top prize.
