Old Kentucky Nights
Traditional tales of home cooked meals "down on the farm" come to life in an Old Kentucky Night at the Kentucky Horse Park. Enjoy a casual evening of dinner, dancing and touring the grounds of a beautiful theme park, dedicated entirely to the horse, set in the heart of the Bluegrass. Southern hospitality Kentucky style - the way it was meant to be.
The evening consists of the attractions and activities featured below. Each Old Kentucky Night itinerary is designed in accordance with the amount of time available from the group's scheduled arrival until their planned departure from the Kentucky Horse Park.
Welcome - Begin the evening with a special welcome and receive a souvenir bandana to set the mood for a casual country evening. Learn about the park's history and visit the burial site of the legendary Man o' War.
Hayride - Relax on a bale of hay atop a tractor-pulled wagon and take in the unique view of this immaculate horse farm set in the gently rolling hills of the Bluegrass.
Walking Farm Tour - Take a leisurely stroll through the park to enjoy our beautiful grounds, barns and horse paddocks. Meet some of the horses that call the Kentucky Horse Park home.
International Museum of the Horse - Discover 55 million years of equine history and explore the development of the special relationship between mankind and the horse. Horse experts and novices alike will enjoy this one-of-a-kind museum, which is an Affiliate Museum of the Smithsonian.
Taste of the Bluegrass - Choose from a variety of delicious menu selections to suit every taste. This evening buffet allows everyone to help themselves to traditional Kentucky fare.
Entertainment - Area cloggers or square dancers show guests just how easy it is to join in the fun. It's a genuine, foot-stomping, good "ole" time. Bring your dancing shoes!
Rate - $40 to $45 per person with a minimum of 35 people(*requires a non-refundable deposit of $150 to book)

Courtyard Presentation: Meet and greet two horses and riders/handlers in native costume or proper show attire. A perfect chance to get "up close and personal" for an hour. ($300)
Hall of Champions: The Hall of Champions is home to our retired "equine millionaires." View champion Thoroughbred, Standardbred, and Quarter Horse greats while listening to an impressive presentation of the horses' backgrounds. Don't forget to have your picture taken! ($400)
Parade of Breeds: Watch an entertaining, colorful demonstration and narrative of the history and uses of some of the park's equine breeds performed to lively music. ($1,000)
*The tractor-drawn hayride and walking farm tour portions of the program are available weather permitting.
*The park reserves the right to make a cancellation decision and/or to alter the group itenerary as needed.
*Payment in full is due ten business days from date of event and is based upon the final guaranteed count. The park accepts company/group checks, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, travelers' checks, and cash.
*Notification of cancellation received less than 30 days before the date of the event will result in the group being held responsible for 50% of the expected charges.
