[Lexington, KY] – For the first time ever, the Alltech National Horse Show is in Kentucky, and for as low as $10, you can be a part of history in the making, while at the same time benefiting a noteworthy charity. Fifty percent of the net proceeds from the Alltech National Horse Show general admission gate receipts will be donated to the various charities featured each day at the event.

The 128th Alltech National Horse Show will be held from November 2-6, at the beautiful, new Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Tickets are now available for purchase online at ticketmaster.com, and range from $10 to $30. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult (limit two child tickets for every paying adult). Parking at the Alltech Arena is free.

Wednesday, November 2

• Daytime: The Shriners Hospitals for Children
Shriners Hospitals for Children has a mission to provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. It also provides for the education of physicians and other healthcare professionals, and conducts research to discover new ways of improving the quality of care and quality of life of children and families. This mission is carried out without regard to race, color, creed, sex or sect, disability, national origin or ability of a patient or family to pay.
Dr. Henry Iwinski, pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Shiners Hospital, said, “We are thrilled to be selected as one of the charities for the Alltech National Horse Show. • Evening: The Alltech Sustainable Haiti Project
Just days following Haiti's devastating earthquake in 2010, Alltech began its work to help rebuild the country through tangible, long-term investment. • Daytime: The Kentucky Horse Park Mustang Troop
The Kentucky Horse Park Mustang Troop was designed and is dedicated to providing services, activities, and supervision that will help engage youth in a manner as to keep them off the streets and hopefully off the path that leads to gun violence, gang affiliation and substance abuse. Through the collective efforts of staff members, volunteers, parents, and peers, the Mustang Troop has proven a successful avenue for children looking for structure, guidance, and purpose in their lives. It is the goal of the Kentucky Horse Park, and the Mustang Troop in general, to encourage children and young adults to live up to their potential by giving them, through their work with horses, the necessary resources to be successful in school, work and life as a whole.

Friends of the Lexington Mounted Police, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supporting the horses and officers of the Lexington, KY mounted police unit and their outreach training efforts to mounted officers throughout North America with an annual National Mounted Police Colloquium. Eager to assist with any questions the public has about the Alltech National Horse Show, Alltech has opened a toll-free call in number answered by live, local staffers who can assist callers with information on the venue, tickets, charity involvement, parking, hotels, and more. The call center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday (EST). The number to reach the call center is 1-855-255-ANHS (1-855-255-2647).

Personnel may also assist callers with the ticket ordering process. There are nine ticketed events during the five days of the event, all taking place at the Alltech Arena in the Kentucky Horse Park.

Lexington, KY - September 16, 2011 - - When the intense equestrian competition has drawn to a close, the trophies have been awarded and the day's activities have dwindled down, the evening's excitement will just be getting started at Gracie Street Garden at the Alltech National Horse Show.

The Alltech National Horse Show, 128th Edition, will be held from November 2 - 6, 2011, at the beautiful, new Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Gracie Street Garden, designed and created by legendary Palm Beach designer M. Douglas Mutch, will host an after the show party each night for owners, competitors, table patrons and sponsors. The night at Gracie Street Garden begins at 9 p.m. and runs through midnight, featuring an open bar, a complimentary late night buffet, a live D.J. and dance floor, all in a gorgeous and fun setting right in the new Alltech Arena. 

The party each night will honor the winners of the prime time events just completed at the Alltech National Horse Show.

Gracie Street Interior Design has been creating beautiful interiors for years, under the leadership of owners M. Douglas Mutch and Susan C. Elhilow. Located in West Palm Beach, the team has completed design projects across Florida, the Eastern United States and the Caribbean.

National Horse Show Association President, Mason Phelps, Jr. has given 'Dougie' Mutch the mission of recreating the excitement of the legendary after parties held during the glory days of the National Horse Show at the Penta Hotel in New York City. "We want to bring that same atmosphere and fun to the Alltech Arena," he said. "The Penta was always the first stop following the evening session in New York and we hope Gracie Street Garden will be the go to place here in Lexington. The evening parties are going to spectacular," said Phelps, who created the celebrated Denim and Diamonds and Newport Roundup fundraisers in years past. Those events remain the standard by which all equestrian parties are judged and are to this day, still the talk of the equestrian industry.

"The National Horse Show after parties at the Penta were the place to be each night after the show, where all could mingle, have a late night supper or breakfast, enjoy some libations, hear great stories, laugh and dance," Mutch said. "This is the ambiance we will try to recreate in Lexington, but with a modern twist, the 'New Beginnings'!"

It was the team of Phelps and Mutch that created the Jockey Club and the Diamond Horse Shoe Club for the National Horse Show during its run in Wellington, Florida.

"For me, this is about bringing Lexington to the Alltech National Horse Show," said Mutch. "I love the idea of the history of Madison Square Garden originally being located in an actual garden in New York City and now, the horse show is making its permanent home in the heart of horse country where the gardens are as important as the horses," she said. "It's a perfect combination!"

"My memories of the National go back to the early 80's where I was privileged enough to experience the elegance of a horse show where only the top horses in the country had to qualify to compete against one another for the last show of the year," Mutch related. "And the spectators were horse folks, dignitaries, the who's who, all dressed to the nines in top hats and tails and elegant gowns and jewels and the Garden was packed. This was the history and the tradition of the sport that is not remembered by many today. It is these days gone by," she said, "that I would love to see return, but of course with a modern twist!"

On Thursday night, the Equestrian Aid Foundation will take over as presenting sponsor.  EAF President R. Scot Evans noted that Thursday will be a very special evening, marking the debut of the new Charlie Weaver Legacy Fund, a fund that will continue to assist equestrians in their time of need for many years to come. "It seemed fitting to celebrate the Alltech National Horse Show with the launch of the Charlie Weaver Legacy Fund, as he was the hunter rider that broke all records at the National Horse Show at Madison Square Garden," he said. "Everyone remembers Charlie galloping down to those huge hunter jumps in the middle of New York City, and the buzz for this year's horse show is what's most needed in horse sports at this time. EAF is proud to be a part of the ANHS."

Friday night is United States Equestrian Federation/Equus Foundation night.  "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to announce 'America's Favorite Equestrians' for 2011 on Friday evening, November 4, 2011, during the Alltech National Horse Show," said Lynn Coakley, President of the EQUUS Foundation.
