2012 Celebration to be held May 2 at Kentucky Horse Park
FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 17, 2012) – First Lady Jane Beshear today announced the 15th Annual Celebration of Hope, an annual gathering of cancer survivors, will offer some exciting new changes. For the first time in the history of the event, the Celebration will be held during the week leading up to Derby, on Wednesday, May 2, instead of the Monday following the race.
Additionally, the Celebration is moving out of Frankfort to the world-renowned Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
College Students to be Admitted Free on Thursday; Military Personnel and Their Families on Friday
Lexington, KY– April 16, 2012 – The Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Bridgestone, will host free general admission days for college students and military personnel during this year’s Event, April 26-29, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The free admission offer also includes the Ariat Kentucky Reining Cup on Friday, April 27.

Lexington, KY - April 11, 2012 - The Alltech National Horse Show, following its highly successful debut at the Kentucky Horse Park last November, has been voted as the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame 2011 Horse Show of the Year. The top honors came as a result of voting by the many members of the Hall of Fame, comprised of exhibitors, owners, trainers and riders in the equestrian industry.
Achievements of Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council and Lexington community draw national acclaim
President Bill Clinton will celebrate Earth Day in Lexington, Ky, to bring attention to the outstanding sustainability efforts made by local students and leaders. Clinton will visit the Bluegrass on April 23 to speak with nearly 6,000 students, parents, teachers, administrators and community and state leaders at the Kentucky Horse Park Alltech Arena in special recognition of the Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council, a coalition of students representing all Fayette County public and private high schools.

Lexington, KY - March 30, 2012 - This year, the hunter divisions will be one of the main features during the Kentucky Spring Horse Show Series at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The highlight events will include the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held during the Kentucky Spring Horse Show May 9-13, 2012, and the World Champion Hunter Rider week of competition during the Kentucky Spring Classic, scheduled for May 16-20, 2012. Both competitions will also feature a $5,000 Hallway Feeds USHJA National Hunter Derby, the latest addition to the lineup.
