The Kentucky Classique Horse Trials, a championship horse show, will be at the Kentucky Horse Park, August 30 through September 1.
More than 350 horses and riders from as far away as Canada and Florida are scheduled to compete in this Fédération Equestre Internationale-approved qualifier for international competition at the Intermediate and Preliminary levels. The upper level courses were designed by David O’Connor, a USA Olympic Eventing Coach.
The Kentucky Classique was selected by the United States Eventing Association (USEA) Area Council as the perfect event to host the USEA Area VIII Championships, a prestigious and trail-blazing competition. This will be the first time that all the Area VIII Championships are being held at one competition and venue. Only the best riders from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia have placed competitively throughout the season to qualify to participate in the Championships.
