In keeping with BreyerFest’s British theme, jousting will be featured all three days with Knights of Valour, one of the nation’s top full-contact jousting troupes. Heading the troupe is Shane Adams, as Sir Shanton of Falcon’s Hill. Adams holds 17 international jousting titles and is now best known as the host of The History Channel’s new hit show Full Metal Jousting!
The Knights of Valour put a contemporary twist on the sport of jousting in that they wear modern suits of steel armor, but their jousting and sword fighting are the real deal! Not only that, but these modern-day knights support equine rescue and rehabilitation. Two of their five horses were slaughterhouse rescues and a third horse is a former carriage horse who has gained a new life with greener pastures within the troupe!
BreyerFest will also be featuring the equine artistry of Sylvia Zerbini, a 9th generation equine performer and Cavalia alumna, and her Grande Liberté act!
After four years touring with Cavalia, Sylvia has struck out on her own, and Breyer is thrilled to welcome her to BreyerFest with her eight Arabian horses performing at liberty in her own choreographed Grande Liberté act. Sylvia creates captivating performances using body language and her own secret language replicating a horse’s natural use of tones. To keep the horses fresh and connected, the act is different each time they perform.
Returning to BreyerFest for the third time is Equine Extremist Tommie Turvey. Back by popular demand, Tommie will be working with his latest star, Sue Rathbone’s Gypsy Vanner Odd Job Bob, star of the movie The Greening of Whitney Brown featuring Bob and actors Brooke Shields, Aidan Quinn, Kris Kristofferson and newcomer Sammi Hanratty. Bob will make his BreyerFest debut alongside Tommie. With new tricks and hilarious new stunts, Tommie will leave you in stitches! Joining Bob are BreyerFest fan favorites and Breyer portrait horses, Pokerjoe and Joker!
BreyerFest draws more than 7,000 horse lovers each year to Lexington for the three-day festival. A limited edition collectible Breyer model of this year’s celebration horse Mariah’s Boon, an American Drum Horse (a $50 value), is included with the purchase of each three day ticket.
Early Bird tickets are on sale now for BreyerFest British Invasion at www.breyerhorses.com offering significant savings on adult and children’s three-day tickets.
