4,000 Pony Clubbers from Across the Nation to Compete

The United States Pony Clubs National Festival is a week-long celebration of Pony Club that brings together more than 4,000 Pony Club members from around the world who have trained for years to compete in this event.

This year's Festival will take place July 24-31 at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Its purpose is to provide a National Championship competition combined with a unique educational learning experience, mounted clinics, unmounted clinics, workshops, Barn Fair, and more. Contestants will compete in dressage, eventing, mounted games, polocrosse, show jumping, tetrathlon and Quiz.

This year during Championships, the USPC will be hosting the Inter-Pacific Exchange (hosting teams from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hong Kong), the International Games Exchange (hosting teams from the US, Canada, England and Australia) as well as an International Quiz competition (hosting teams from the US, Canada, England and Ireland). The feature competition of the exchange will be a Nations Cup jumping competition on Friday afternoon.

Pony Club teaches horsemanship and the care of the horse to young people through the age of 21. It is a worldwide educational organization that originatd in Great Britain in 1928. Today, there are more than 625 Pony Clubs nationwide with over 12,000 members. For information, go to www.ponyclub.org
