John Henry's fans across the country have requested updates on the beloved champion's health.

He is being closely monitored by his veterinarian, and has been treated for dehydration several times this summer, due in large part to the excessive heat and his age.

He is afterall, a very, very old horse who has far exceeded his life expectancy, so we treasure each day a gift.

As of 8:15am, John Henry's caretaker, Cathy Roby, reported that John was screaming for his breakfast this morning when she arrived. Last night at 11pm, she came to the barn to check on him and he demanded a midnight snack, which he received (of course) of Senior formula feed and a doughnut. He is bright and hungry this morning.

He receives guests at his stall during park hours, 9am to 5pm.

Thank you for your interest and concern!
