LEXINGTON, KY (February 13, 2009) When you have a farm, it just naturally follows that you have used farm equipment. If it’s time to upgrade, downsize, or simply clear the clutter, the Fayette County Farm Bureau can help.
The 26th annual Fayette County Farm Bureau Farm Equipment Consignment Auction, Mar 21, will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park beginning at 9:30am. All tractors will be grouped and sold at noon. Equipment will be accepted Mar 19-20, and no equipment will be accepted the day of the sale.
Serious farmers, gardeners, bargain hunters and friendly scavengers are invited to graze or hunt and peck through hundreds of pieces of equipment ranging from farming and landscaping to lawn and garden. The equipment has been compiled from area farmers, landscapers and retail stores and over a thousand interested buyers are expected to attend.
Designers and decorators might find an authentic farm objet d’art or that perfect piece of weathered material to complete a shabby chic or garden decorating project.
Auctioneers from Swinebroad-Denton will conduct the sale, and one hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Fayette County Farm Bureau Education Foundation.
For more information on the Fayette County Farm Bureau Farm Equipment Consignment Auction or how to donate a piece of equipment for a tax write-off (instead of letting sit in the middle of your field or take up space in your barn for the next ten years), contact Carrie Johnson at 859-253-0023 . http://www.kyfb.com/counties/fayette/imgs/2009/Auction-Flyer.pdf
