Springtime brings foals! You know you're in the Horse Capital of the World when you find yourself standing next to a white plank fence and rubbing the head of a beautiful new foal while her mother grazes peacefully nearby! Every spring, a few foals are brought to us from a neighboring Miniature Horse farm to be handled and shown daily in our Mare and Foal Show.
This is a 15-minute presentation in which the adorable babies and their beautiful moms are brought out of their stalls for an up-close and personal introduction to our visitors. The mares and foals are housed in the Kids Barn throughout the duration of their stay at the Kentucky Horse Park, and are turned out in a small paddock near the barn to play with each other when they aren't busy preparing for their show.
The Mare and Foal Show is presented daily at 11:45 a.m. from Memorial Day through July 31.
