The International Grand Championship Rocky Mountain Horse Association Show is a Class A Rocky Mountain Horse Show. More than 300 horses will be shown in this event. Classes that will be displayed include equitation, saddleseat, breed demonstrations, and a stallion row. The Grand Champion classes will take place on Saturday evening. Also at this event will be the opportunity for the public to ‘Ride a Rocky’.
This year for the RMHA 30 year anniversary, the International Championship Show will feature a Stallion Parade that will be held on Saturday September 10th at 1:00pm. Each stallion entered will be performing a 2 minute exhibition. Also featured will be a Stallion Row Showcase, as well. Visitors will be welcome to walk the barns and visit the stallions. (Please do not touch stallions without permission.) Visit the RMHA booth or the KY Horse Park entry gate for a list with stallions entered & stall locations. This is a great opportunity for visitors to the park to experience the temperament of the breed up close and personal while meeting many of the stallions.
Please also note that there will be a certification event, as well, during the show. Examiners will be available at the horse park to certify horses on September 7th, from 3-5 PM. You must provide the ORIGINAL registration papers for the horse to be certified. This certification will take place near the exit gate of the arena. Please contact Elsie Hatcher at email@example.com if you have a horse to be certified, and you will be given a time slot between 3pm and 5pm. If you bring four photos (front, rear & both sides) and the correct fee, you will be able to complete the application for certification at the on-site RMHA office, and your horse will qualify to show.
