Certified Horsemanship Association

Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium

Dates: 
Thursday, October 5, 2017 - 8:00am to Sunday, October 8, 2017 - 5:00pm
Event Description: 

Watch hundreds of Thoroughbred racehorses from across North America competing for $100,000 in prize money in ten sports: barrel racing, competitive trails, dressage, eventing, field hunters, freestyle, polo, show hunters, show jumpers, and working ranch. They all retired from racing the previous year and they have had less than one year to prepare. Includes training demonstrations, seminars, and a large trade fair in the Covered Arena. PMHA Fall Harvest Horse Show

KHP Foundation Battle in the Saddle Celebrity Team Penning

The KHP Foundation Battle in the Saddle is a celebrity team penning event benefiting the KHP Foundation. This event pairs two amateur team penning riders with a celebrity guest rider to determine who can pen the group of cattle in the quickest amount of time. Sponsorships are available for the event, and the public can come and watch for an admission price. KMSHA/SMHA International Grand Championship

The Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Association (KMSHA) and the Spotted Mountain Horse Association are both very passionate about their specific breeds. Both organizations strive to demonstrate the value and beauty of these mountain horses. One way that these two associations look to promote the horses is through specific shows/programs, and the Kentucky Horse Park is proud to be the location of one of these upcoming events. Starting on September 14, you can head over to the Covered Arena to check out the KMSHA/SMHA International Grand Championship. Region XIV Silverama Horse Show

Event Description: 

The Silverama Region 14 Arabian Championship is a 5-day Arabian horse show event comprised of a youth show and the championship for the 14th Region of the Arabian Horse Show Association. The 14th region includes Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. The best Arabian horses in the region will be competing in a wide variety of classes, encompassing almost every discipline.

This is the 23rd year that they are presenting The Bill & Betty Zekan Memorial Youth Show, which is scheduled for Wednesday June, 28 at 8:00 a.m. in the Youth Ring with a full slate of youth classes. This show also includes Open Qualifying Classes, Region XIV Championships, and A.H.A Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes.

The Bluegrass Classic

2017 Egyptian Event
