Life in the Hall of Champions
Resident of the Hall of Champions since January 2000

Da Hoss is very sweet, and is the easiest to handle of all of the Thoroughbreds in the barn. His assistant trainer taught him to ‘give kisses’ while he was still racing, so he does this to get treats. Hoss will gently place his nose to his handler’s cheek to get a treat. He also loves his food, and will squeal with excitement when it is feeding time.

Thoroughbred Horse Racing
Thoroughbred horse racing is the most popular form of horse racing in the world. Thoroughbreds were developed in England by crossing three foundation sires from the Middle East with native English mares. These horses race on dirt, turf or synthetic surfaces.
